Industrial Adhesive - Fountain solutions - Fold gluing - Fold softening - Perfect binding devices

The PLANATOL Klebetechnik GmbH in Rohrdorf, Upper Bavaria, Germany with its subsidiaries PLANATOL Adhesive GmbH, PLANATOL System GmbH, PLANATOL Reco GmbH, PLANATOL Milker Adhesive GmbH, BIOLINK GmbH (Geretsried, Bavaria) and PLANATOL France (Paris, France) produces PLANATOL adhesives for the industry, PLANATOLITH fountain solutions, OPIMATIC systems for rotary fold gluing in web presses (longitudinal gluing and cross-web gluing), SOFTJET systems for fold-softening and PLANAX perfect binding devices.

The PLANATOL Adhesive GmbH produces adhesives, such as dispersion glue (cold glue), hot melt, pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA), glue dots (made of hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive and polyurethan glue (PUR) for the graphic arts, book binding and printing processing industry (for book binding, form gluing, mailer production, fold gluing, fold softening, paper and foil processing, packaging). New in the product line are PLANATOLITH fountain solutions. There is a fountain solution for heatset, for coldest and for sheet-fed avaialble. Additionally to the fountain solutions there are hardening agent, cleaner and conserver.

The PLANATOL Milker Adhesive produces glue e.g. ready-to-use dispersion-based and solvent-borne pressure-sensitive adhesives for self-adherent coating of web-shaped materials. The glues are used in many areas, e.g. in the automobile, adhesive tape, foam, protection foil, labelling and graphic industry or for high-gloss foil laminating. The company also provides additives for PSA-adhesives, such as cross-links, resin dispersions, solid resins, release agents.

The PLANATOL System GmbH produces systems for fold gluing and fold softening. There are fold gluing aggregates for longitudinal gluing and cross-web gluing. The systems for longitudinal gluing are named OPIMATIC COMBIJET 8MOD (for the big longitudinal system) and OPIMATIC COMBIJET 8DT (for the small longitudinal system). Additionally to the fold gluing systems there is the system SOFTJET for fold softening. The fold glue and the fold softening from the PLANATOL Adhesive GmbH fit perfectly to the fold gluing and fold softening systems. The PLANATOL System GmbH does not only produce auxiliary equipment for web presses (fold gluing and fold softening) but also PLANAX binding devices and perfect binding machines (more precisely perfect binding machines). One perfect binding device is the thermomatic binding device PLANAX Copy Binder, which works with thermo binding strips (coated with hot melt). Another binding machine is the perfect binding machine PLANAX Perfect Binder F3, which works with cold glue. Additionally there are PLANAX binding devices for manual binding available, e.g. the binding device PLANAX Binder or the binding device PLANAX Fanning Binder. The department PSA Coating produces ribbons out of pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) and adhesive tapes. The know-how concerning pressure-sensitive adhesives, combined with the experience of coating adhesive binding materials, has inspired the company to develop new adhesive coated products. The company has the technical equipment to provide flat, profiled and corrugated coatings. The results are functional HMPSA adhesive tapes, e.g. formed as a ribbon or full surface, which can be applied on different carrier materials (e.g. silicone paper, foam material, foil, fabric, fleece or scrim-reinforced material). The products are suitable as assembly aids, for self-adhesive equipment of profiles and the conglutination of plastics, cable ducts, metals, wood, etc.

The PLANATOL Reco GmbH produces different binding materials, which was coated with adhesive in a special hot sealing process. The adhesive coated binding material is used in the book binding industry.

The PLANATOL France in Paris distributes the adhesive from PLANATOL Adhesive and PLANATOL Milker Adhesive, such as dispersion glue (cold glue), hot melt, pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA), glue dots (made of hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive and polyurethan glue (PUR) for the graphic arts, book binding and printing processing industry (for book binding, form gluing, mailer production, fold gluing, fold softening, paper and foil processing, packaging). French sales agents sell the OPIMATIC systems for fold gluing and fold softening and for the PLANAX perfect binding devices and machines. A worldwide sales structure distributes the glue from PLANATOL Adhesive and PLANATOL Milker Adhesive all over the world. Also the systems for fold gluing (OPIMATIC systems for longitudinal gluing and cross-web gluing) and fold-softening (SOFTJET) and for the PLANAX binding devices and binding machines are distributed worldwide.
